Pastor’s Got a Brand New …

So, today is a good day. There’s a DQ in my town; it’s two days until the beginning of awesomeness; I got a thing:

This is my thing!!  I’m so excited.  There’s a long story about it, but I’m not going to tell that here.  Short version is, it’s awesomepants.  It’s a Maryland (once called and now called Baltimore) 6×13 snare with a Dunnet snare throw.  Sometime in the next few months I’ll put new heads on it, snares are still in great shape.  It’s 10-play Maple with 6-ply rings.  And, cause here’s what really matters, here’s what it sounds like as I got it without having been tuned: (recorded not well at all on my LDC vocal mic)
